How much will my PDF be compressed?
Results vary: PDFs with lots of uncompressed structure (e.g. exported from Word/Excel) typically shrink 10–40%. PDFs already using compressed object streams may see little or no reduction.
Does this reduce image quality?
No. This tool performs lossless structure optimisation only. Images inside the PDF are not re-encoded, so visual quality is fully preserved.
What does 'strip metadata' do?
It removes embedded document info such as author name, creator application, keywords, and producer. This improves privacy and can shave a few kilobytes off the file.
Is my file secure?
Your file is processed in-memory on our server and the output is available for download for a short time before being automatically deleted. We do not store or share your files.
